Barbara and all the team

Dear Barbara and all the team at Peasmarsh Place I wanted to write to thank you so much for the care you gave to my grandmother during her last weeks.  Truly, I did not know such wonderful places, staffed by such wonderful people, even existed.  Grandma loved her room, the grounds, the carers, and especially you, Barbara, and it meant so much to us to know that she was so safe and happy there with you. Nothing was too much trouble, and the wonderful touches of luxury (a glass of wine, a slice of cake, flowers from the garden) made her feel that she was in a kind of marvellous hotel! From the bottom of my heart, thank you for the work that you did and continue to do for so many residents, and bless you all. KM August 2016

Thank you

Dear Barbara I wanted to say thank you so very much for enabling Jan and myself to have lunch downstairs with Mummy.  Your refurbished Jasmine room is beautiful, and it was lovely that mummy could have a change of scene looking out onto the garden and lake, and have a breath of fresh air too through the open door.  She spotted the Moor hen running over lily pads within minutes of sitting down! We so appreciate occasions such as this, and the wonderful cheery way in which your staff look after us all.  It means so much to Jan and me that we can share times like this with Mummy, and more especially- as you know -since she prefers not to eat 'in public'. As always thank you so much for all your thoughtfulness. SR August 2016

Dear All

Dear All You have all been so very kind, considerate and caring over the months that Joan was staying at Peasmarsh.  She could not have received better care anywhere and for that my brother, myself and all Joan's family are extremely grateful. Thank you also for the wonderful buffet and reception you provided after Mum's funeral, it was such a pleasant way to end a rather emotional day. Thank you Sandra July 2016

Thank you so much!

Hi Barbara Just a short note to say a really big thank you to you, Christine and the rest of the fabulous team at Peasmarsh Place.  Mum and Dad truly did enjoy and appreciate their recent stay with you and I'm pleased to say you have all contributed to allaying so many of their former fears concerning retirement/care homes...I can't thank you enough. Many thanks once again to you and all the lovely people at Peasmarsh Place that made my parents stay so comfortable, welcoming and caring. Kay K June 2016

A thank you

I write to thank you and your colleagues for the care that you have extended to my father, Ron, over the past year and a half.  Prior to his coming to you he had spent a few weeks, on a temporary basis, in each of the two establishments of which, while they were nice enough, he gave me no more response than that of acceptance of his situation.  When given the opportunity to view Peasmarsh Place, however, he gave me an immediate and enthusiastic reaction to the effect that is was where he wanted to settle long term and, shortly after moving in, declared that is where he wanted to end his days; from then on he considered Peasmarsh Place to be his home.  He never waivered from this to the extent that on each of the three occasions, while in your care, he was taken into hospital he told me that he wanted to go home; 'home' being Peasmarsh Place. Throughout his stay I have visited almost daily and have had much opportunity to see for myself the comings and goings and life in general at Peasmarsh Place.  I put on record that, from first to last, I have not been disappointed by the experience and that life there seems more akin to residents in a country hotel than in a care home.  Residential care comes at a substantial cost yet in his instance an hourly rate at Peasmarsh Place approximated to £4.80 which seems remarkable value for money, the more so when little extras such as refreshments and meals are offered to visitors at no further charge.
