Oakside overlooks the village green being situated in the centre of Northiam. It is a grade two listed building with some parts dating back to the 17th century.
The village is quiet and tranquil; the green has shaded seating which many of our residents take advantage of when the weather permits. They also make good use of the local tearooms visiting with friends and family for tea and cakes.
A short distance away from Northiam are Bodiam with its historic moat and grounds and historic Rye.
Oakside is a sister home to Peasmarsh Place offering a different lifestyle due to its location and size.
Oakside is warm and cosy with a friendly and peaceful atmosphere. It is very popular with people local to Northiam who find the time is right for them to think about residential care and also people who wish to benefit from day care services.
The majority of rooms have ensuite facilities with others being chosen by people who’s mobility is becoming difficult so need fully equipped and supported bathroom facilities.
All rooms have the facility for personal telephones.
We very much hope that residents will individualise their new personal space with furniture and belongings which have a special meaning for them.
Oakside has a lovely sitting room and dining room which many residents use every day to meet and exchange news.
We also have a patio garden with raised beds which are there for residents to grow their own flowers and vegetables and much used in the summer months.
Our staff are committed to ensuring that residents are able to live the life they choose with the support they need to do so.
